The renowned R.A.S. – Riunione Adriatica di Sicurtà insurance company once had its headquarters in this very building, which now houses the hotel. The Berlam Coffee Tea & Cocktail is located in what used to be the company’s boardroom — a magnificent space designed by architects Ruggero and Arduino Berlam, to whom the bar proudly pays tribute.

Meticulous restoration work has preserved the original details and historic finishes, creating today an exclusive setting for moments of relaxation and conviviality.

Nero, B, capo, deca, goccia — ask for a coffee, and you’ll experience a traditional Triestine ritual reinterpreted in a contemporary way. For a pleasant afternoon break, Berlam also offers a refined British-style teatime, featuring the finest blends and a selection of sweet and savory treats — an elegant and delicious pause in a truly splendid historic atmosphere.
